Death
Tay's Last Words
June, 1992
Her shoes were number nine
Her dresses slim and fine
She was petit; she was neat
And sometimes sweet
She was a jewel with many facets
With a side for every purpose and every person
When she walked into a room,
the room got smaller and she got taller
Like the tide was coming in
Her life affected many people close and distant.
She was a ripple wave in a quiet pond after children toss pebbles
Crossing other waves with her own, boats rocked
She was dynamic
She was constantly changing state like ice, water, and air
Stubborn, headstrong, individualistic
People usually knew her in one of these states
Those that knew her in more than one state were lucky
If not confused
Patty Ambrose, her banker at Cape Ann Savings, said
"We've had some great discussions!"
To those of you who knew her, you know what that means
She was told as a teenager diagnosed with type one diabettes:
"You cannot have children"
Todd, Chris, and I are glad you were a stubborn lady
Thanks, Mom!
